The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services unit we designed for the new Royal Hospital for Sick Children (RHSC) in Edinburgh is finally finished! We won the competition to win the commission way back in 2015. We then undertook in-depth user consultations before designing a suite of unconventional healing spaces. Along the way, our brief (one part of a much larger construction project) grew in scope; the final fit out includes day rooms, bedrooms, a dining room and games area, interview rooms and external courtyards.
The new hospital, including the CAMHS unit is due to open in 2020. You can read more about the project here.
